Maintenance update
- Keeps the app in step with the latest update to P4PN's servers. No visible changes.
macOS
v1.0.627
2026-10-07
Simpler connecting, roomier window
- Larger window with a roomier layout and one text size throughout
- Connecting dials the server you chose — no automatic switching to other servers; a failed attempt names the server
- The VPN service now runs only while P4PN is open
- Quitting asks before dropping a connection; a running personal server keeps serving after you quit
- Personal server: choose who can reach your home network — nobody, only you, or everyone you invite
- Personal server: deleting removes the router port forward; setup checks the router really kept the forward
- Fixes: repeated login prompts, the login form overlapping the server view, the window hiding behind other apps after a password prompt

Android
v1.0.298
2026-10-14
Probe fixed
- Fixes the server list marking random servers as unreachable on IPv6-only networks, such as T-Mobile in the US and some Wi-Fi networks. The check now reaches each server the same way the connection does, so the list stays steady.
- The server you pick is the one you connect to, even when the list marks it as unreachable.
- When you have not picked a server, the app connects to the first one that answered the check.
- Your pick lasts until the app is closed; the next launch starts with the best available server.
Android
v1.0.289
2026-10-13
Live server list
- The server list stays live while it's open: checks and fresh data appear in place, and it keeps your scroll position.
- The bottom of the list shows when it was last updated, with a refresh button.
- Server load is shown as soon as it's known, and servers that can't be reached are marked "unreachable".
- Imported server files are checked and ranked just like the built-in list, and show which file they came from and when.
- The list refreshes itself when it is more than 10 minutes old, and connecting never waits for it.
Android
v1.0.285
2026-09-15
Smarter server selection, steadier connection
- The server list is measured more accurately and ranked by what actually works from where you are, so the best connection sits at the top.
- If our main address becomes unreachable, P4PN now finds a working route on its own — and the pages it opens in your browser use that same route, so signing up, your account and downloads keep working too.
- Reconnecting is quicker: the app remembers which route answered and starts there, instead of waiting on a blocked one every time.
Android
v1.0.250
2026-08-10
Enhanced server selection
- The server picker now measures real reachability and speed to each server and ranks them, so the best connection for you is at the top.
Android
v1.0.245
2026-08-10
Server selection and redundancy
- New server picker: every location with its latency, load, and how well your own connection reaches it. Pick any server — if one is blocked, the app fails over to another automatically.
- Keeps working where the site is blocked: the app reaches our servers through several routes, including the VPN nodes themselves.
- Connects instantly from the saved server list, which refreshes in the background.
- Offline profile import: load a .p4pn or .ovpn file (from Settings, or just open the file) and connect even when login is unavailable — using the same server picker.
- In-app updates: update checks and downloads travel the same resilient path, and the app installs the verified update itself.
- Improved connection diagnostics for faster support.
Android
v1.0.219
2026-06-28
Choose sites to send only through the VPN
- This is the opposite of the bypass list. Instead of picking the sites that skip the VPN, you pick the only sites that should go through it — and everything else uses your normal connection. It's handy when you just need the VPN for a few specific sites and want the rest of your traffic to stay fast and direct.
- On Android you can choose apps as well as sites.
- Add your own, or load our ready-made list. Your choices take effect the next time you connect.

Host your own VPN server at home, live server list
- Personal server: turn this PC into a VPN server for you and the people you invite. Setup forwards the port on your router, opens the Windows firewall and checks from outside that the server can be reached.
- Works on Windows Home too: when the built-in network sharing isn't available, guests' traffic goes through Internet Connection Sharing.
- Choose who can reach your home network through your server.
- If the server starts but can't carry guests' traffic, setup says so straight away, and Manage shows the full reason.
- The server list stays live while it's open: checks and updates appear in place, with an "Updated" time and a refresh button.
- Server load is shown as soon as it's known, and servers that can't be reached are marked "unreachable".
- Imported server lists are checked and ranked just like the built-in list.
- The window layout now matches the Mac app, and your profile no longer overlaps the login form.

Windows

Smoother updates

iOS
v1.0.209
2026-10-14
Connects on IPv6-only mobile networks
- Fixes connections that failed within a second on mobile networks that use only IPv6, such as T-Mobile in the US.
- For servers with both IPv4 and IPv6 addresses, the app now tries both, in the same order as our other apps, and moves on quickly when one doesn't answer.
- If a server doesn't answer at first, the app keeps trying it for up to 30 seconds, as our other apps do.
- When a connection fails, the Connection Log now shows why, for each address tried.
- Also includes the server selection fixes from 1.0.208: the server you pick is the one you connect to, and picking Moscow works again.
iOS
v1.0.208
2026-10-14
Server selection fixes
- The server you pick is the one you connect to — even when the list marks it as unreachable.
- Picking a server that comes with a restrictions warning (such as Moscow) now shows the warning and connects to it. Before, the pick was silently ignored and the previous server stayed.
- When you haven't picked a server, the app connects to the first one that answered the check, rather than simply the top of the list.
- Your pick lasts until the app is closed; the next launch starts with the best available server.
